There was a well respected THR member that had a website that was nearly all green, but I just can't remember where it is for the life of me.

He would reload with lead bullets or total metal jacket bullets for extra.

Nothing personal, but I wouldn't trust any of you guys who I've never even met to reload for me. For what it's worth. --Stork

It would have to be a good friend so that if something happened, I would protect him since he probably does not have the proper license and insurance to sell ammunition.

I believe GA Arms will reload your brass. They are a commercial entity.

You might not be able to protect him - let's say that something really bad happened and your gun blew up and put out the eye of the kid standing next to you. $2,000,000 later, after countless surgeries, the insurance company is gonna want somebody to pay. Even if you were mum on the subject, what happens if they find out you were using ammo loaded by somebody else? They're going after that other guy - not ifs ands or buts.

Stop jumping to conclusions guys maybe the fella in question is a licensed ammo manufacturer. SHEESH!

Believe it or not, there are quite a few companies that remanufacture spent brass for a price that beats all factory ammo prices.

Mastercast is one of them, and if they had a rep who was a member here, it wouldn't make their quality control any poorer. Where else can you get 1,000 rounds of .45acp for less than $200?

That's the one!

Mastercast was indeed a member, wasn't he?

I don't remember Mike from Mastercast being a member here. You may be thinking of Missouri Bullets.

BTW, why does this happen every time someone asks a question? The man asked a simple question about a reloader. The reloader is a fully licensed commercial reloader but everyone jumped to conclusions and started lecturing and playing lawyer. I would love to see a thread where this didn't happen, just once...

Its an epidemic of all forums whether they are gun related or not. Although the gun ones have way more nitpickers.

Wade through the muck to find the good information.

But look at me now......contributing to the muck. Like I said, its an epidemic. Now I have the herpes.

I have a lawyer proof read all these threads to make sure that there isn't bad info for me to read.

In short there are mutiple companys that will reload your brass for you. Save your money and buy a reloading book then single stage loader to start and try to load your own. You should find that it is very rewarding. It's kinda aother level of shooting.

I've been meaning to buy a little hand press from Lee, but there is only one store in town that sells reloading supplies. They jack up prices to unbelievable levels.

Also, as a student pharmacist, I have next to no free time for reloading (which is why I'd only buy the little hand press)

I use the hand press, works well enough. I can sit and watch a movie while doing menial prep stuff like decapping/sizing and priming. My setup is pretty darn cheap, everything cost me around $120 including the manual. The Hand Press Kit was around $45 IIRC.

Yeah, that's what attracted me to it.

Also, I only blow through maybe 100 rounds of .45 a month (.22 conversion gets the most workout) so it'd probably be great in the spare time I do have.

Thanks guys.
