Hello,

I have several rifles in .223 (Mini 14s) and one in 5.45 (Romanian WASR-2). the barrel diameters at the muzzle are about .550 IIRC. The Mini has a step-up in diameter a little past the muzzle. What are the chances that I could use a threading kit in 1/2 by 28 to thread these barrels so I can use my .223 suppressor on them? Thus far I have used the suppressor only on my DPMS AR, which had the right threads under the screw off flash hider.

Thanks,

Drakejake

Send them to a good smith experienced with suppression so the threads will be concentric with the bore. Threads for flash hiders may not be. Cans can be expensive why take a chance on baffle strikes.

Threading kits are for flash hidders only.
