I have started to prepare for a few weeks of riots when obama loses the election. I am thinking what is the best defense of my home. Would it be better to have a obvious show of force in my yard or would it be better to try and and show that no ones home. I am thinking that if someone thinks no ones in my house it will be broken into and I want to avoid that.

Weeks of riots?
We haven't seen weeks of riots ... ever (and that includes Watts in '65).
This same absurd idea was voiced many places in 08 and no rational person took it seriously then.
This is a sitting president instead of an audacious young minority candidate challenging the status quo and "the system" at risk of having the election stolen from him by "the man". He is part of the establishment now and no one seriously expects a violent reaction if he isn't elected.
