"She said co-workers saw a white man with a rifle who was "spraying bullets"."

"Police said the gunman used "a long gun'' and would not clarify whether it was an assault rifle or shotgun."

Grr... I'm betting it was a "hunting rifle" that will now be known as a "sniper rifle" :cuss:

Sad story but blatant anti-gun reporting.

EDIT: oops Repost.. Sorry

I heard it was an AK 47, and that he was a former security guard of Target... I'm not sure of the accuracy of what I heard, and will try to verify it. If it was an AK I think it's interesting that he was stopped with so few victims, so I'm wondering if the police just got lucky in that they were right there or if there was a ccw involved...

Its been 24 hrs and the KC Police have made SEVERAL statements about the shooting.

There's no mention of the firearm used beyond the fact that it is a "Long Gun"....if they have not announced that it was a SCAW then 99% probablility that it was just some semi auto hunting rifle.

Its old news already (thankfully) and is struggling to maintain a link in the main pages of the major news outlets.

Its sad for the victims but bury the story and be done with it...its no more newsworthy than the 100-150 people that are killed in Auto Accidents every day on our roads.
