i recently purchased a semi finished thumbhole stock from boyds gunstock, the barreled action doesn't fit down into the stock, which im aware that these stocks may require some fitting. my problem comes from the fact that the trigger guard and mag floor plate area fit into the area cut for it at the bottom but the holes for bolts that go through the base plate and secure the action are misaligned by about 1/2 an inch. has anyone else had drama's with these stocks? i know there is some variation with the mauser rifles from factory to factory but this much ?
