Neal7250;

I have several Tikka's and no regrets about buying them. However, I do not have a 7WSM. That being said, I think it's probably, on paper at least, the best of the WSM family.

Do you handload? To me it's a consideration because it allows you to stock up on brass should the 7WSM be abandoned by the manufacturers. If you've got a couple of hundred brass, you're set for the rest of your life regardless of whether or not the factories continue to make ammo.

Hornady states that they found that in their model 70, 24" barrel, the 7WSM would fling a 139 gr bullet with a B/C of .486 out the muzzle at 3300 fps. That is the definition of: "Reach out & touch something".

Plastic trigger guard ; don`t drop it

The Glock and every other polymer-framed pistol also have plastic trigger guards.

My Tikka has been on some rough hunts and has never had any problems.

If you want to shoot the rifle a lot you might want something else because ammo won't be cheap.

Otherwise you may as well get it.

have a friend who has got one, shoots very well, sub moa at 200yds with commercial ammo.

My Tikka 300wsm is great, and like above never had to worry about my trigger guard.
