Tikka T1x MTR 150 rounds in thoughts

Howdy fellas hope all is well,

I recently decided I needed a new .22.
So the search begun I set out to find a .22 I didn’t posses and after looking over my meager collection I decided it needed to be bolt action. I had heard that tikka was going to be making one so I went looking. I found it,I liked what I saw it’s a scaled down version of my t3 lite 308 with a few tweaks.

Same stock,20 inch barrel,10 round mag
Short bolt throw,side bolt release same trigger as the t3x

I had to have it so I bought it

One con found out so apparently it’s very common in Europe have a 11mm dovetail
Not so common for me gotta get a rail

So as of now no scope no sights so no accuracy testing but in 150 rounds I’ve only had one that wouldn’t fire

I love the short bolt throw
Love the fact that it feels like a real gun and not a child’s toy
Love the fact that it makes me giggle like a small child
Love that it’s threaded
Love that it has a adjustable trigger

In short if your looking for a grown up .22 this one is for you!
It is not cheap at almost $500
But I love it and plan to get my moneys worth for years to come!

I don't have one, at least not yet, but I had a chance to play with one last week. No serious accuracy testing or anything, but the build quality and design surprised me. It feels like a proper rifle, fit and finish are first class, and even the mediocre scope and suppressor felt a bit mundane on it. The rifle easily justifies a Swarovski Z3 or Zeiss Conquest and MW/Vaime modular suppressor.

Now, I need another rimfire rifle like I need another hole in my head but I really wouldn't mind one in .17HMR. Too bad they aren't available in stainless/laminate combo, or at least that's how I try to resist the urge to actually buy one...

@horsemen61 I have one. I like it very much- have some ejection issues with mine. Went back to Beretta and they said everything was ok with it- haven't had a chance to shoot it since, but hoping next week. I'm not a rifleman by any means, but I enjoyed shooting it.

Well I got a receiver length Zero MOA tikka t1x rail from tikka performance

As far as scope right now I’m stealing a leupold rimfire 2x7x32 off a 10-22 I’ll get more Magnification later I just want to shoot some groups!

If they shoot as well as the T-3 then it'll be a winner. I've not seen one in person but may end up with one someday.

Yes.
It shoots every bit as well as my Sako P04 for half the price.
My T1X on a windless day, will put 10 rounds of SK Rifle Match in a group at 50 yards that can be covered with a dime.

No complaints. Would like to see a 5 round magazine that fits flush with the bottom of the stock, though.

I did find out you can adjust the trigger to light and it will go off when you close the bolt

A quick fix though
