I'm in the market for either a Lancaster Arms, Vector Arms, or a yugoslavian M70.

The only AK I have is a century arms Wasr-10. Now that being said, there is nothing wrong with my WASR, but I want an AK that has a better overall appearance, and if possible, is more accurate than mine.

I don't know anything about the Vector AKs, but the ones I have seen look nice.
I know Lancaster makes nice AKs, but they seem to cost more than the Vectors or the M70s. Does that extra money for the Lancaster actually go towards better performance/appearance? Or would I be just as well off buying one of the other two and saving some cash?

I would but,
A. I have never seen a parts kit, in any store, anywhere.
B. I cant order things off the internet as I dont have a credit card.
and C. all of the parts kits I've seen online are ridiculously expensive, and a lot of them dont even look....decent.

I recommend buying an AK such as the ones you mentioned. Either of the three will be a good choice as far as performance goes. If you are concerned about appearance, http://www.gunchat.net/chat/viewtopic.php?t=3086 is a good site about what to look for when buying an AK rifle. The examples are Bulgarian but what the poster says is applicable to all AK rifles regardless of what country they are from, including the U.S.

In addition, http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/index.shtml has excellent information on the general operating nomenclature of the AK. The site is for Romanian AK rifles but again, the principles discussed apply to all AK rifles.

Most gun shows will have AK rifles. Go to the ones in your area, after you have read the above posts, handle the various rifles, and then buy the one that you like the best.
