I've been giving this some thought lately as the day approaches: what will I buy first in honor of the passage of the AWB?

So far I have 12 round mags for my HK 45 and perhaps my first venture into the world of 9mm - something that holds many rounds (no more than 15 unfortunately because of NJ state law)

What are you buying?
 
I'm gonna buy a Colt M4 with all the nice evil features. A HK94 clone too, and tons of mags. Probably gonna get a nice rifle suppressor too. A Saiga 12 pistol gripped shottie. Mags for the AR15, mags for the HK, Beta C-mags for both, all the neat stuff in case feinstein somehow whines into being another ban.

My wallet might never recover... :(
 
Factory "standard" capacity mags for my Beretta 92FS Vertec.

Possibly a Armalite M15A2 Carbine with a flash suppressor (if available).

Some kind of AK with a folding/collapsing stock.

I'm open to any other suggestions.:D

LOTS more mags for my AR and my M1A (esp. the latter, as I've only got 4 plus one of the amputated 10-rounders). More for my pre-bendover S&W 5906. A bunch of 50-rounders for the 10-22 (which I don't have yet, but I plan on getting one and don't plan to be f'd on the mags by a renewal of the AWB in 6 months). Possibly some normal caps for the 6.5 Grendel - another rifle/upper that I don't have, but plan to. Same reasoning as with the 10-22.

After that, it'll be back to acquiring C&R rifles, which are damned interesting and very cheap (i.e. they don't raise the hackles of She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed (or Tricked) very much.

I've wanted my 1st AR type for a while.Probably wait a few more months to get a "correct" one. :D

You can buy those now you know.

The HK94 is not regulated by the AWB. Either is the suppresor or pistol gripped shotgun. They are regulated by a ban that will never go away.

There isn't anything on my list that can be purchased post-ban except the suppressor but you can't install that on just any rifle because it is counted as a flash hider.

The semi-auto Saiga 12 with pistol grip and detachable 6rd mag is likewise illegal because of the AWB.

I dont mean to be a pest, but I dont udnerstand where you are comeing from. You can buy perfectly legal M4s right now however they are not full auto. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976297888.htm

The Saiga 12 gauge shotgun is regualted by the ban from the 80's, the one about importation. However once you convert the parts to American amde you can put whatever you want on it, except a folding stock of course. Unless I have been reading the AWB wrong, I dont think it specifically regualtes shotgun different from rifles.

So you can buy a Colt M4 type rifle with the folding stock and everything right now, you can also import a saiga then convert it to pistol grip, and finally you can buy a suppresor. The importation of the Saiga will not change with the AWB sunsetting, it will still be regulated.
 
Those are pre-ban guns. I don't want to pay those outrageous prices for 10 year old used guns. :rolleyes:

There is a separate section in the AWB on semi-auto shotguns. They can only have 1 evil feature without becoming an evil deathdealing AW. So you can have 1 of the following: folding stock, pistol grip, magazine over 5 rounds, or detachable mag.

The 'sporting purpose' importation ban sucks and needs to die as well but they seem to have forgotten a sunset clause in that one. :fire:

I got a Glock 17 with 5 pre-ban mags (along with a few other guns.) I would hope that by the time I got to my 5th mag, SOMEONE would've noticed that an army is invading Brooklyn and call out the troops. Otherwise, for personal defense I think I'm set.
 
First will be an M4 upper with all the formerly evil features and an adjustable stock for the AR lower I've had sitting in my safe since March.

I've already purchased flash hiders for my post-ban rifles that don't have them, I just need to get the rifles threaded post-sunset.
 
I'm not buying anything. Haven't you heard? These guns will be "flooding our streets." AK's and UZIs running in rivers through your neighborhood. I'm just gonna walk out my door, wade on in and pick what I want out of what's floating by.
 
1) RRA AR15 lower (I have the rest)
2) Para P14 Mags
3) Para .38 Super Mags
4) AR15 Mags
5) Glock Mags
6) Thompson 20 round mags (if they make them)
7) Another Thompson Drum
8) Maybe another lower with RRA stuff to build a 9mm, and if so...
9) Colt SMG mags
 
Although I'm sure I won't have the money by then, if I did I'd buy a Walther P99 with full capacity magazines for CCW.
