I think it's a great idea. 30-30 is a great cartridge, made even better by pointy bullets. The .308 Win and 30-06 will outperform it still, but the 30-30 is still going to be easier on the shoulder, and if it is good enough, why get beat up more.

Show us your #1 when you get it, along with a target or two.

Promise R.W. Dale, I never had that notion. I think that manufacturers assume that there was limited demand and tested that market with an inexpenve offering. Surley a better product would have become available if there was enough interest. Same thing happened with the lever guns. There are/have been some very nice 30-30 lever guns.
