And they say that the Plain Jane can't be a looker. . . .:neener:

How do you like the Meprolight night sights--in both daylight and dim/dark conditions?

Thanks.

I like them a lot, well worth the money and a DIY project with a 4" or 6" model. They're standard white outline three dot combat sights during the day and standard green tritium night sights in dim light. Fully click adjustable for elevation and windage. They have held up through about 750 full house loads and a like number of .38 Spec.+P since I put them on.

I have mine set up for POA/POI at seven yards with .357 Mag. 158gr Gold Dots. My sole criticism of them is that the vial makes the front sight wide for distance shooting, necessitating either a blade change up front or an adjustment of the rear to bring about the old six 'o clock hold for ranges over about 35 yards. Either one is a simple fix on a GP-100 4 or 6 inch adjustable sight model.

Lots of patience and start with 600 grit wet/dry automotive sandpaper using it wet. It took the better part of an hour. YMMV.
