Tiny dents in .45 ACP

Anyone ever noticed tiny dents in a consistent area on their spent cases? I've noticed it on my reloads and some factory ammo after I shoot it through my XDs I don't know what causes it but the dent is always the same size in the same place it's so small you can barely see it but it's there and bugs me. what could cause this?

Yes, not so much from my Colt's, but more from my Kimber or picking up after a G21. Shouldn't affect it in the slightest AFAIK... just cosmetic nuisance.

Yup. Cases do really weird stuff coming out of the slide.

They will iron out with the next firing. Don't worry about them.

When the case hits the ejected at escape velocity, it does a double back flip and bounces off the back edge of the ejection port.

That's just the way they work.

Me too. And then they land in my front pocket, which is convenient though a little warm.

Ive reloaded them with the dents. I didnt figure it was enough to jeopardize the integrity of the case. I was just wondering what may cause it.

Scrub the chamber with a bronze brush and solvent. See if it goes away.
