Tips for preventing sausages from untwisting

It seems like no matter what I do my sausage is always come on twist and they just kind of end up as one poorly stuffed long sausage as opposed to a bunch of separate ones.

I'm using natural casings and try not to pack them too tight. Any tips?
 
Thanks for the tip. My wife and I just made 75 lbs of venison burger and sausage and we were both lamenting how they untwisted. Will definitely remember this next year. We mix with pork butt then seasoning.
 
Alternate the twist direction and then let them sit uncovered in the fridge for a few hours before packaging
I hadn't thought about letting them sit uncovered in the fridge before packaging that's a good idea! I will try that next time thank you!
