Tired gun?

I recently picked up a used S&W 4506 and it doesn't group nearly as well as one I owed about 15 years ago that was the same make and model. My question is, will putting a wolf spring kit in help with the accuracy at all or is this a waste of time and I should just accept this one for what it is? This pistol is tight in all the right places and the barrel looks great but the recoil spring seems like it might be on the weak side to me.

Probably not a bad idea to respring an older semi-auto, but it will not affect accuracy. Chalk up the difference between this 4506 and the one you owned before to production variation and wear.
