I recently cleaned and stripped my G36 to polish the trigger etc, and when I reassembled it and gave it a few dry fires, I noticed that the slide was hanging over the back of the frame. Maybe the width of a credit card, very small but still I haven't noticed it before. It works fine but now that I noticed it I can't stop looking at it. I thought it had to be flush with the frame but I could be wrong.

Are you talking about where the back of the slide meets up above the "beavertail"?

Because looking at my 21, I have about a slight hang-over, but on my 26, the slide is slightly forward... Neither are flush. If that's what you're talking about, and it's functioning, I'd say don't worry. But I'd feel better saying that if I had a picture to look at.

Ok, yeah, my 21 is like that, just a hair closer. On my 26, the frame actually sticks out more.

I'd say you're good to go!

I'd say the same. If the barrel is flush you should be good. If they were both off something must be wrong.

After checking mine, the slide on my G36 does hang over a little but the slide on my G19 is flush. If it works don't worry about it.

OP whatever you do "DO NOT" shoot that gun. It will surely KABOOM and kill you. Glock are notorious for doing this.

J/K. Here's my 20 sitting on my little old foot.

This is a big fat NON ISSUE.
I'd rather know that it's no big deal rather than have an "issue" at the range or if I ever had to use mine for SD. I clean all my carry guns after every range trip and I am very meticulous in my cleaning method. I take very good care of my guns as they might save my life one day.

Dang, does this mean that all my Glocks are not PERFECT????

This has been a bad day for sure!
