To bob or not to bob my Blackhawk's barrel ?

if that lifts your skirt go for it. if you think it will make it more whatever, have at it. if its just something you want by all means. its a RBH it will never be a Colt SAA. we make to much of its collectible and souldnt be touched. ( before anyone gets on their high horse:cuss: im not talking about rare examples) one last thought, you are not the only one who has had this thought. if you dont like it somewhere there is someone that you can sell it to that may like it more than you did.;)

And they'll buy it from you...at a reduced price. Even when a desirable gun is sold with non-original grips, the selling price tends to be less than with the original grips (which is why most people keep the original grips when they get replacements.) That effect is likely to be magnified when making a permanent change, like bobbing the barrel. Doesn't mean the OP shouldn't do it, just means that when you factor in the devaluation of the gun along with the cost of making the modification, buying another gun with a shorter barrel might not be such a big expenditure after all. One of the great things about Blackhawks is that they are great quality guns that are affordable, so I'd buy another gun.
