I have a blued target MkII with 5 1/2" slab bull barrel. The gun is factory drilled for scope base. Do you guys scope your .22s? Should I go for it? If yes then what scope should I get?

many use red dots. I have an ultradot 4 with solow mounts on mine.
I like solow mounts, but since my gun is factory drilled and tapped I'd rather go with conventional scope base. When you say red dot you mean the laser marker and no zoom at all?

I put a red dot scope on mine and have had inconsistent results. I shot really well with the gun with just the stock sights. I considered putting a fiber optic sight on the front, but went instead with a scope. I am using a cheap BSA scope, so it may be some scope problems, but I'm quicker to blame the shooter. I don't know if I should focus on the dot, or the target. I do shoot better farther out, but still learning.

I use the Tasco 2x Pistol scopes and love them. I didn't know untill I put the scopes on both guns that, on a very calm, windless day both were capable of sub 3/4" groups at 50yrds. Had one 10 shot group that if not for one flyer would have had a very tight 1/2" group at 50 yrds.
