Alright, I have been offered the chance to trade my scoped Marlin 30-30 and my S&W 459 9MM for a Century Fal Clone that supposedly "shoots great" but doesnt have much more info with it. I have a couple of questions, having never owned a .308 MBR. What should I look for when I go to inspect this rifle and is this a good deal for this rifle? I dont really use my 30-30, but I will need to replace that 9mm if I trade, so I dont want to trade for junk or for something that doesnt work well for me.
While reading about the differing types of FAL's and clones I have seen that some apparently have metric dimensions and some have regular dimensions. How do I check that on this rifle, which one is prefferable, and how big of an issue is it? Thanks in advance!
