I had not realized that is was almost three years to the day that I had not taken any of my rifles to the range until I checked by records. I remedied that today by getting a new range badge and starting out light with my Marlin 17VS and Ruger 10/22 RMB. The both shot as well as ever. I did not have to adjust either scope.
When I retired from my day job back in 2008 I thought that I would spend a lot of time shooting but it has not worked out that way. Now I've decided to set aside at least one morning a week for range time. I'll cycle through my different calbers until I finally get up to the Remington Woodmast 30-06 that I picked up on my C&R 2 1/2 years ago and have never fired.
