took my Colt DA Agent 38 special apart OOPS

Took the side plate off of my Colt Agent to see what the guts looked like. Dirty, and complex. Said this is not for me, put side plate back on and now it will not function. Can not get hammer to come back, Hand does not fully engage the clyinder. Trigger will not come back, and the is something like a blot or stud that the rear of the cylinder rides on, it is not coming forward.

All I did was take the plate off and look. put i back on and now will not function.

Any ideas what I did wrong other than taking the side plate off?

Found picky problem. Simple fix, will not be afraid to take apart the next time and do a major cleaning.

Well what was it? Could happen to someone else who falls prey to the urge to just take a peek and not touch.
