took several types of ammo out, some did better than others. Pretty steady 10MPH nearly direct cross wind from the right.

That's a cool action. I've only seen one in person once- reminded me of a Luger with an inferiority complex.

Is it smooth to work?

Ya, super smooth to work. Just tap it back, palm it forward, dont even have to take your eyes off the scope. Paid $250 for it.

If you watch the videos of Biathletes using the Larsen upgraded Izhmash Biathlon 7-4, you'd be amazed how much better it can be. They use a different bolt handle and a pistol grip stock. They flick it open with their trigger finger and snap it shut with their thumb in one quick and smooth operation. Kati Wilhelm uses an Izhmash from Larsen, and Russian biathletes dropped their Anschutz fortners for the Izhmash tuned by Larsen.

They really are great rifles and you'll get faster and faster with the toggle bolt as you get more accustomed to it.

Centerfire Sytems has them in 22LR and 22WMR for $329.99 last time I looked. That's about the usual price for a new one.

try the cheapest, which may be the best under 100; American Eagle individual red boxes, it is Federal's cheapy line. They are flat based bullets, so while they remain supersonic, they are ultra stable...
