Bought a 6.5 Grendel upper from Aero Precision. Does not come with a BCG and Aero does not yet offer one. Customer service recommended one from Ballistic Advantage ($150).

I've located a Toolcraft 6.5 BCG for under $100. Wondering if anyone has any experience with Toolcraft BCG's.

They are the best value out there. I own 2 and they have been good for a free thousand rounds each. Joebobs, wcarmory, Monmouth reloading and right to bear all have good pricing on toolcraft. Not sure if they all carry the 6.5 g ones though

For the Grendel, I would only spend my money on Young or JP bolts.

I ordered a Brownells bolt (unknown manufacturer, house branded), to try out and will report sometime next year after it gets about 2500-3k rounds on it.

I have a brownell's Grendel bolt because I bought one of their combo bcg and bolt combos for a cheap price. Used the bolt carrier for a 6.8 SPC build leaving me with the bolt. Sometime after I finish other projects, might get around to building an upper around it. Was reorganizing after finishing a project and found the Grendel bolt in my tool box that reminded me to do something with it someday.

The Brownells bolts are 9130, and appear to be “enhanced” or beefed up in the ways any of them are, so I’m hopeful. They’re WAY less expensive than other options, so although I’m not a big Grendel fanboy, I do build, have built, and expect to build in the future several of them, and I’m really hoping results are good, to have another good bolt option, especially at a better price point.
