Ok heres the story(there is also a thread about this on glocktalk as well.) So I ordered som mags for my HK through Top Glock and shortly after I did, I started reading terrible things about them. One of them being credit card fraud, AKA they were not secure and tons of fradulant charges were being placed on peoples cards.
After hearing this I cancelled the card I used. TG doesnt charge you until the order actually ships. Anywyas they shipped the mags after I cancelled my card, it took them over 2 frickin weeks to ship them as well, and I cancelled my card 3 days after I ordered them. I also told them to cancel my order if they werent going to ship in the first 7 days.
So anywyas NO charges and havent heard anythign from them, and I have the mags in my hand. So did I get free mags , or can they come after me somehow???

My kindergartener will tell you if you don't pay for something, it's called theft.
"I started reading terrible things about them." This is called hear-say, I believe.

I should preface this by saying I've never dealt with this vendor.

:scrutiny: I might have waited until there was actually a problem, if there was to be one at all.

Offer to pay for or return them.

I can only speak for myself, but in this situation I would ensure that Top Glock was compensated for the goods I received.

I once received a $800 dollar check from UPS after a computer item I was returning never ‘made’ its destination. The computer company I was returning to indicated they hadn’t received the equipment and would not provide me a credit as they didn't have record of the return and its delivery. UPS also couldn't verify delivery and therefore assumed it was their issue, hence their compensating me for the value of the items they were supposed to deliver. I continued to check occasionally with the computer company just to ensure they really hadn't received the goods. Many weeks later (probably close to 6-8 weeks) the computer company confirmed it had been misplaced and that they had indeed had received the return. The computer company refunded my purchase price accordingly. I could have very easily kept the money that UPS had already provided me in addition to the refund from the computer company, but I chose not to and subsequently returned $800 to UPS. The representative I spoke with was pretty surprised I was returning the money. I could have used the money, trust me. Just wasn't the right thing to do.

"My kindergartener will tell you if you don't pay for something, it's called theft."

This grown man says "dont send me something I cancelled or I'll keep it without paying for it." When you cancell your Amway and they keep on sending crap to you and you cancel your card but they keep sending crap, you gonna send it back or keep it?? Catch my drift, similar scenerio

Well when a bunch of people are all claiming the same thing, Im not gonna wait for my card to be charged for a bunch of crap and porn. Would you? Would you not cancell your card if you read about this happening in a thread on THR?? Im gonna hope you would cancell it. Do you ENJOY waiting 2.5 weeks for something to ship after you order it? I told them to cancell the order. Ill send them back if they pay for the return shipping.

Wow touchy subject but I would still inform them that I had the clips and if they wanted them back send me a box to ship them back in postage payed.

I sent them an email. If they send me a pre paid envelope they can have them back. I also told them for future reference to make sure something is paid for before they ship it out, and when someone tells them to cancell and order, cancell the MF'er

They are the single SLOWEST place I've ever done business with. Every once in a while I receive a portion of the single order I made in January, and I don't think they're done even now although I've lost track. About once a month I get a surprise box from TopGlock. The last one had an Advantage 1911 .22 conversion in it - that was nice.

No false charges that I've noticed.

Yea, they are the worst online vendor I have ever dealt with, for anything. I will never deal with them again and if anyone ever asks about them I will tell them to shop elsewhere. Oh yea, the charge went through this morning

No fraud was committed. It was their mistake. I would keep the "mags". If they notify you to pay for the items, then most definitely do so.

As far as the UPS story with the computer, you did the right thing but I would have donated the $800 instead of returning it to a multi-billion dollar corporation.

It's all karma imo and if the situation isn't shady and you haven't done any wrong, then take advantage of it as long as it's not hurting anyone.

if your gonna tempt my honesty--at least make it enough to cover the cost of the yacht i'm gonna need to get to the private island you bought me.

Yup they are paid for fellas in case you missed it in my other post. I was thinking about sending them back but who knows when I would see that money. Anywho the more mags the better I guess, just wished they werent so darn expensive for this P30

I will never order from top Glock again. Their shipping times for "in stock" items are outrageous! Took me 3 weeks to get an extended slide release and a 9 round mag for my G30. I saw the thread on Glock Talk as well and the general consensus is to stay away from Top Glock.

Huh. Sounds like Lone Wolf is the only place to buy Glock stuff from. Top notch customer service, and fast shipping.

Ask me about my experience with Glockmeister, sometime. :barf:

Well, my belief was simply that it wasn't mine to give.

Let's see, you ordered some mags and then canceled your credit card. Now it's their fault they sent the mags? You ordered them, you got them, now pay for them.

You asked for advice.

If you receive a product that you did not order you are under no obligation to pay for it, however, if you order it you are responsible to pay for it. You entered into a contract with this vendor and they fulfilled their end by shipping the product and you my friend have defaulted on your end.
If you can live with the fact that you defrauded this company by stealing from them, then don't pay. You know you would be wrong not to pay for this and you are looking for justification.

As bad as you may hear they are, keeping the mags is outright stealing. You knew they were slow to respond and might even have assumed they would ship anyway because they probably aren't good about checking their emails often.

You could similarly steal from half the internet companies out there...just quickly send a cancel email to them, after your order and most places won't be able to stop the process in time. Does that give you the right to keep the goods? I don't think so. At least not morally.

Do the right thing.

You may have the right to expect them to pay return shipping.

Now, the real question is, WHY DON"T YOU KEEP THEM AND PAY FOR THEM LIKE YOU ORIGINALLY PLANNED?

Do you suddenly not need them or are you just trying to justify stealing?

Did you all NOT READ ANYTHING that was in the previous posts. First off, I called emailed CS and told them to cancell, and they replied. They sent them out, 2.5 WEEKS LATER, so they had plenty of time to cancell the order. In the meantime I had ordered my mags from Midway and had them 4 days later. Also, THEY WERE PAID FOR. As was said about 11 posts ago, post #9 :banghead:

I would return the mags with a note asking them to make sure not to charge your credit card. If they're stand up they'll reimburse you for shipping. If not chalk it up to experience.

It doesn't matter if the mags had been paid for at one time, once you canceled payment and they shipped the mags, and you received them, you're responsible for paying for the mags. If you don't pay for them it's theft. It doesn't matter how much you try to parse it.

but I would have donated the $800 instead of returning it to a multi-billion dollar corporation.

That makes absolutly no sense to me.
Do what is right should depend on the bank account of the one that is being wronged? I just don't get it.

save all your email info, and if they do not send you a prepaid mailer, just do nothing. You have made the first move, now it is up to them. You do have an obligation to return the product IF asked to by the seller but on their dime and not yours. My bet is that you will never hear from them..

I paid for them, my card was charged for it. Im gonna keep them, Now I just have 16 expensive ass magazines for my P30 plus the 2 it came with. Instead of my original plan of having 10 total. The CS person I talked to said they would have to cahrge me a restocking fee and I was not going to just give them more money for that. Its fine, now when I go shooting I dont even have to reload mags. Thats what I keep telling myslef anyways.
