Total c*ap, stabber got 40h of community service

One guy repeatedly stabbed another, with a knife, in hands and chest. court decided that was not a big deal and since the lack of public interest charged the attacker with 40h of community service, besides only statements taken into account were the attacker's one.

10 years ago one would have been 2y in jail merely for threatening another with a knife. that's the legal justice here. Tell me you don't have such a nonsese at your place?

ANOTHER EDIT: These 2 fellas got into an argument over money and one grabbed the knife and stabbed the another quite willingly. Not a chance that this is a SD.

The guy doing the stabbing may have been attacked, we don't know. Yep not enough info.

Was it the same guy who stabbed Monika Seles over there in Euroland? IIRC he got off with a stern warning.

In the U.S. the guy with the knife would have gotten jail time unless he had been attacked by a much larger/stronger person and was defending or (and this is a stretch) if the knife was very very small and the vic had been verbally harassing the guy with the knife.
