Went to get my permit for paper company land I've been hunting the last couple of years. 53,000 acres spread over 6 counties. The guy at the sporting goods store goes, "Didn't you hear about that? The land's been sold, and I don't think the new owners are going to allow hunting."

Ugghh. I was just really getting to know the lay of the land in one area. Took one deer and four turkeys there the past two seasons. Now I've got to scramble and find a place to hunt in the middle TN area. Not wild about WMAs, especially for turkey.

Nasty turn of events, indeed.

This is truly the shame and I feel for ya. I've been hunting deer, birds, etc, etc, etc for the last 3 years now and would be crushed if I lost the chance to hunt and scout around out there, it my cousins land so I got pretty lucky I'm the only one that hunts the 300 acres except for 1 weekend of the year which is GUESS 1st weekend of slug which is fine cause I've been going north since I was 12 for that first weekend of gun season, the rest of the year its pretty much mine "lots of bowhunting and scouting for deer".

Just keep asking around and SOMETHING WILL COME UP!!
