I was surprised to find that your average S&R guy has 2 guns ... and 5-7 different kinds of knives when they get in their choppers.

That would not have been my default expectation, but I can see how they get there. Heck, I'm not jumping out of choppers and I already carry five or more.

In that environment? I'd probably be sewing them into my clothing.

Rofl, that was my exact reaction too. The load out goes from opening assisted folders to your typical 6"+ fixed blades. I'm sure if I showed them the M3 medic they'd probably sew in another pocket and make some room.

I get by with a couple of small folders myself, but i'm anxiously awaiting my roommates personal effects to show up. Supposedly he's gathered quite a collection of nifty guy things while stationed in Japan.
