I am looking at perhaps discovering what all the fuss is about in trap shooting. Although I love handguns (specifically my 1911), I have never tried a shotgun. The only long guns I have tried are my .22, my husbands Marlin .45 and his M1 Carbine. For me, the first two were enjoyable to shoot and the carbine was ok but I didn't really like it.
I found a few shotguns that were recommended to me at some different local stores. All are 20 gauge semi-automatics. Two of them were Berettas (priced in the $800's) and one was a Tradition (priced at $375).
All of them felt about the same to me and the Tradition was black which I like, compared to the wood Berettas. I am leaning towards the Tradition but the price scares me a bit because it is so much lower than the other two. Has anyone used or heard anything about the Tradition? And if you have used it, what is the recoil like? Should I be scared or am I getting all worked up over nothing? Please help if you can!
