I developed this knife with input and testing from several outdoor survival experts to be a great companion in the woods.
the deep finger choil is great for precise work, and for striking ferro rods to make a quick fire

Reminds me of a more refined Esee 3 or 4 with better steel. And considering the improvements and the better sheath I think it is worth the additional cost over the Esee. Good work.

Why the large choil?
The finger choil allows you to really choke-up on the blade for fine work (feather sticks, prepping fish and small game etc)
It also allows for controlled striking of a ferrocerium rod for fire starting.

Its interesting how much people fall into 2 different camps on this. Its a very nice looking knife and folks who like a choil will love it. when I handle a knife this style I always feel like if it didn't have the choil I wouldn't NEED to choke up. I do have one camp knife I made myself with the choil and I still use the knife but I have decided the choil isn't for me.
