Last weekend I hit up Homie Depot and got some 2" PVC pipe and made a sheath for the bolo.
To flatten it, I used a heat gun to heat it until it was pliable, then squashed it between the floor of my shop and a board. I'd cut a section narrower to act as a belt hook/way to secure a frog, but that came out off-center. I then used some green spray paint I had laying around to finish it.
The sheath is functional but a bit heavy. I'm thinking of skeletonizing it and then covering it with either canvas or wrapping it in cordage.
