In trap (most versions, at least; International/"bunker" has its own layout), you stand on one of 5 stations that are placed in a semicircle to the rear of the trap house, and when you call for a bird it flies out away from you; depending on the luck of the draw, when you call for a bird, it can be going straight away, hard left, hard right, or some in-between angle. In skeet, there are 2 trap houses (one "high", one "low") placed at the opposite ends of a half-circle, and the shooters work their way around stations on the edge of that circle, shooting at singles and doubles (depending on the station they're shooting from). This means that in skeet, you end up shooting at targets that are passing in front of you, but in trap, you end up shooting at targets that are only ever going away from you. It's worth giving both a try, because they're both a lot of fun.
