When firing it, if I lever in a round it binds and does not go into the chamber. If I ease up on the lever and reverse it just a bit the round pops up and I can chamber.

Any idea why it is doing that?

Thanks.

Ok, I'll try factory OAL specs and reload some more and see what happens.

I used 110 gr, 150s, and 170s today. The 150s and 170s had a crimp grove and I seated it to that level and used a Lee crimp die.

Still, I'll try aging tomorrow.

Thanks,

Length may be an issue, but most bullets intended for 30-30 use have the crimp groove located correctly, at least the ones Ive used so far.

Does the carrier snap up sharply when its empty?

Is it possible the cartridge guides may not be tight? They are the thin rails inside the receiver that have angled grooves for the rim of the shell to ride up through as it feeds forward.
