Hi,
At the end of this month, I am flying to VA to be in one of my best friend's wedding. I'll be landing in Baltimore, renting a car and heading to VA.
I currently hold a FL CCW permit and VA has reciprocity with my state. However, I am concerned about my flying into MD with a handgun and ammo. Is there a law against hollowpoint ammo in MD?
I do not plan on carrying in that state. I am simply flying into and out of MD while the rest of the time I'll be in VA. Am I going to run afoul of the law by transporting my P226 and ammo (unloaded and in the box) in my checked luggage? I've flown with handguns before... Just not to MD. I appreciate any advice you folks could give me.
