Tri-Power scope on AR-15

I bought a Trijicon Tri-Power scope and I want to mount it on my AR. My DPMS has a flat top rail with a traditional carry handle and sights on it right now. Should I mount it on the flat top or on top of the carry handle?

On the flat top with a folding BUiS. But if you don't want to buy BUIS then I'd say mount it on the carry handle.

Or you can cut down the carry handle to make it a BUIS.

Dump the carry handle. Get a Larue LT-150 to mount your Tri-Power. This mount will co-witness the optic at the correct height with the BUIS.

Your first decision on BUIS is whether you want them to fold down out of the way.

If no, the Larue LT-103 is the gold standard.

If yes, the Troy Folding Rear Battle Sight is my preference.

TechBrute hit it. I suggest the Troy but that is because I don't like Fixer rear sights. If you prefer the Fixed rear then leither the 103 or the DD fixed BUIS are the best 2.
