You won't go wrong with either of those choices. I like the Aimpoint better but its bigger and heavier. The glass is clearer to my eyes. The tint on the MRO looks blueish to me.

I've never been partial to the blue tint of the Trijicon products; it makes both-eyes-open shooting more difficult for me. I *had* CompM2's on all of the SD/HD rifles until recently, when I switched over to the Leupold Deltapoint Pro. I very much prefer the Deltapoint's slimmer profile (less visual clutter, easier for me to focus on the target without getting distracted by the optic housing) and the auto-on/auto-off feature competes well with the Aimpoint's amazing always-on battery life.

So, neither?

I have both, shot matches and taken classes with both.

They're outstandingly reliable RDS's. I'd give the nod to the MRO, especially if you're working on a lightweight rig.
I heard about a “flaw” with the MRO re: changing the battery.. something about breaking metal prongs? Do you know if that is an issue? Thanks

Yes the size and weight are my concern. I would like to go with the T2 but it’s not in my budget right now.

The PRO is virtually indestructible. We've had great success with them (we also use EOTTechs). Yeah, bigger, heavier, but easier to use controls, come with flip up lens covers, long battery life, so intuitive to use and typically hold zero quite well. I'm kinda a fan. Well, more a fan of Aimpoint than Trijicon. Just totally reliable products. You can't beat the cost -- can be found on sale down to about $399 - 429 if you look.

All valid points. Thanks.

I’ve got more time with my personally owned PRO, and really like it. Either would be a fantastic choice though.

Of those two choices MRO

Aimpoint H-1/T-1 would be preferable depending on need for NV

I have both. The Pro is built like a tank. The MRO is lighter, has a bigger "tube", the bluish tint has no effect on me. I wear glasses and have a slight astigmatism, the dot on the Pro is slightly more cleaner to my eye then the MRO. I dont know if you replaced the factory mount on the Pro if that would shed some weight.
Either one is a solid choice.

Slightly different spin on things.

How much parallax is too much for your intended purpose? All red dots have some, some have more than others. Holographic sights have very little, but then there are questions of battery life and thermal drift.

Among the premium red dots, MROs are thought to have more parallax than most. The PRO is average or a little better. Does it make a difference? I guess that depends on your purpose, but maybe.

Same here, the weight difference is a non issue to me. I would go with the PRO but if you went with the MRO you would still be rocking a better than nice optic. I've shot them both, the PRO has a crisper dot imo and the aimpoint is the granddaddy of all red dots, imo.

I also like the look of the pro better. It's just a very robust capable unit and the Aimpoint name on the side just feels like a guarantee that I'm never going to have an issue. Always wanted one, bought the imitators and while they did their job, they didnt measure up to the Aimpoint. Heck I'd say go with the Aimpoint. Lol
