Trimming 44 mag brass

I only trim .45ACP pistol brass to .888-890,because of the light taper crimp. .470. hdbiker

Another vote for rc's post #14, I agree 100%. I had a hell of time with crimps until I noticed my brass length varied up to .01" now I trim to a consistent length and I enjoy a perfect crimp every time.
Ever wonder why some reloading manuals give both, a max case length and a trim to length even for handgun?
Just because I've done something a million times doesn't make it right.
