Scored one today at the swap meet. Nice looking walnut stock, screw in chokes, very clean. Also met the guy with the Ithaca 20 Featherlite again. He is new to the area and keeps guns out of state. He also has his mother's Ithaca 16 gauge he is looking to sell.

First time I met him he bought a friends gas wall heater. Said his house was 32 degrees. I recommended a big furry dog. He said he'd rather have two big furry women. Got my laugh for the day.

I have a 12ga viper with syn stock that I use for turkey hunting. The mod choke actually patterns better than the full choke on mine. Thinking of getting a turkey choke tube... they take the Beretta style tubes.. It did take a number of rounds of 3" to get it to cycle properly. The gun is known for a break-in period to get it to cycle properly. just sayin

My son has about a thousand rounds thru exact same gun shooting trap and small game. On station 5 one eve, he hit the button to close the bolt, slam fire into the grass. Sent back, Tristar replaced internals, no questions asked. Good service:)

Well, I put a handful of shells through at the range today. The gun will cycle 7 1/2 shot low brass just fine. I would like to find a youth stock for my wife rather than chop the original. Even a synthetic one with pistol grip would suffice. I guess I'll give TriStar a call next week.

Good to know. I have been interested in a semiautomatic 410 for a while now. I just wasn't sure about the Tristar.

They make a youth stock for that fun, shouldn't be any trouble.

I called yesterday and talked to them. $135 for wood and $80 for synthetic--but they are out of them for now. Told me to call back in a few weeks.
