So, the hole for the trigger pin in my Aero Precision lower won't line up with my Timney drop in trigger. Any thoughts on what I can do to rectify this?

Doesnt seem posible, is the bottom of the lower not milled deep enough, preventing the trigger from dropping low enough? I know my timney trigger dropped right in.

Most drop in triggers have set screws for the bottom. Loosen them up first

Yes, Geissele trigger, original milspec design (no housing)
but yes your set screw is too low.

Maybe try pics or a video of the issue while trying to install the pin.

That might shed some light on the issue you’re having.

I actually haven't put in the set screws. I was going to do that after I get the pins in. Could that have something to do with my difficulty on this? This is my first time running into this issue.

If I didn't do the set screws before trying to put the pins in, do you think that might be the issue? Never ran into this with other lowers though. But I've also never used Timney triggers prior either.

I couldn't tell you. I specifically buy and install original milspec designs like Geissele to avoid this issue.

I’m betting either the lower or the trigger housing is slightly out of spec. Do you have or can you borrow another lower to try it in?

I’m not sure how Timney triggers are set up, but if it’s a depth issue you might be able to take the trigger components out of the housing. I ran into this issue when I did my .308 80% and didn’t mill the FCG pocket deep enough for a CMC Trigger housing I had. I took all the components out of the housing, installed as normal, and haven’t had an issue since.
