Troubling video.

If it is real someone is going to have free housing, meals, and a nice orange jumpsuit. Executing robbers is not exactly legal.

I am sure someone is stupid enough to pull something like that. It looks like he was legal right up to the 38 second mark.

That was quite the gunfight if it was real. I like where the bg is using the clothes as cover!! At the end he starts to drag the body somewhere and I don't see any sort of blood trail.

OK I think it is fake. The first shot when the clerk first pulls his gun has no muzzle flash. If you watch the video you will see the clerk and bg exchanging shots over the clothes rack. Each shot over the clothes rack has a large muzzle flash from the end of the gun. The final shot that hits the bad guy has no flash?? Why the difference?? Also it seems like these guns have no recoil that I can notice.

IF it was real (I think that it isn't) the clerk probably would have been fine up until the time he dragged off the body (taking out the trash :uhoh: :D ?). The robber looked to be feeling around for his pistol (continuing to be a threat) when the clerk walked around the clothes rack to check on him (before the slow double tap).

FAKE!

Watch closely - No muzzle flash at all on the shot that took the robber down.

The muzzle flashes that there are all look identical.

Some shots look like they have recoil some don't which indicates to me - ACTING!

The robber getting distracted is what gave the clerk time to pull his gun - wonder what distracted the robber?

As another mentioned no blood trail when the body is being dragged off. The robber is face down while being dragged and he got shot in the front not the back.

FAKE...

Firstly, gunshots aren't always bloody nasty messes, so the lack of a blood trail isn't an indication.
However, I think the muzzle flashes look disgustingly fake, and the whole sequence looks staged.

Haven't watched it yet, but typical muzzle flashes are much, much shorter in duration than the shutter time of a camera. In general, a camera will be able to capture flashes from maybe 1 in 4 or 1 in 3 shots. Only way to get around that is to either use special blanks that make extremely bright, extremely long flashes, use a disconnector system on the guns kinda like the devices that kept WWI pilots from shooting their own propellors, or just add the flashes in post.

Just finished downloading, and that was the fakest recoil I've ever seen. Sheesh.

I concur with the assesment that its a fake. The "muzzle flashes" look like there are Fx added after the "incident", and not very good ones at that. I can't be certain since I can't run it frame by frame, but at one point it looks like the flashes overlay the time counter in the video. I also don't see ANY sign of recoil on the weapons when they are fired.

Now if they converted it to B&W, then added some jumpiness to the video, along with some image tearing/streaking, it might be good enough to pass muster on those "Wildest Video's" programs. :D

This video looks retarded and very fake. Why even bother explaining? It's so obvious. It's not even a GOOD fake.

Looks to me like some highschool kids working at a mall Footlocker/Finish-Line having some fun after they closed one nite. Oh yeah and that site with the link was loaded with spyware.

Fake.

I do like the 'coup de grace' and drag scene. Good training film for conveniece store workers.

fake

What's with the keystone cops up/down/up/down thing?

Fire through the damn counter for goodness sake! Or from the other side just fire through the clothes rack! sheesh!

Very obviously fake.
It gets more obvious the more you watch it. I concur with the "flashes might not be caught by camera", but they do look pretty fake.
No recoil, and the two just seem to 'act' stupid.

I am agreeing it is faked. Time stamp of 4/8/05 at 7:30 at night. Google search has no record of the video in the news. Something this graphic would have made it into the news stories very quickly.

The more you look at it, the more staged it looks.

If you look at the flashes around 38-40 seconds, it looks like they (the flashes) briefly cover the time stamp on the video.

My $.02
