Tru-glo rifle scopes

Anyone have any experience with them?t I'm specifically looking at an illuminated 3-12 for about $160. It has a bdc reticle that can be illuminated in red or green or can be used in black without illumination.
 
Might just be the model I got, but my tru-glo doesn't have a bright enough reticle at all. Green or red doesn't matter; it's just too faint.
