truly desperate SHTF: eating dog food and drinking fish tank water

My wife, who is a former USDA Poultry Inspector, told me the exact same thing. I thought she was kidding, but she mentioned concern about all of the seniors who buy and eat dog food.
even rainwater in a cow track can be made potable. distilled/boiled water will be much more palatable by shaking it in a suitable container to get the disolved oxygen back in it.
cat food has a much higher protein content than dog food. good in the winter, will burn out your kidneys in summer
i plan for myself and dependents to survive, whatever it takes. not sit in a corner whimpering cause all i have to eat is dog food.
yep, eat the dog's food. eat the dog. drink the fishes water, eat them. when it gets real bad, eat the neighbor. careful, he may be hungrier than you.
Lord, may it never come to that, but, thats why we prepare. worst case planning, much less case hoping.
