To be quite clear, it only happens about 4-5 times per 100 rds. (US-made brass), so far.

This is just a Range gun, and even though the 'new' extractor just arrived from "Jack's First" ($50 with shipping), the extr. Claw is not as long as the original (how can a shorter one be better? Both have straight, clear edges), so I decided not to use this second extractor.

Having never polished any chamber, and with no vice available, would Flitz help if applied on whichever part in my Dremel? Never used Flitz at all, but even guys who have serious extraction issues in guns (ARs or handguns with a chamber burr) claim that it can help when applied on a patch etc for a drill.

I have only used Flitz on the outside of the gun but I don't see any reason why it can't be used polishing the chamber of a barrel. It's not an abrasive and it's not going to remove any metal.

I had the same problem a few years ago, and the solution was a new old stock extractor from Jorge with Iparguns. The original extractor looked like it had been chewed by beavers in comparison.

It is my understanding that Iparguns is out of business now, so I don't know where you would find OEM parts for Star firearms.
