I've posted on the Rugerforum.com and the Colt forum sites with no luck, so I'm trying here....

I have seen a photo of a customized Colt Single Action Army that I'm trying to find further information. The gun is a Colt SAA with 4 3/4" barrel. The gun has very textured Sambar stag grips, and sort of the gray patina, it has an adjustable rear sight, probably a S&W of older vintage, with a blade front sight. The gun was a .22 Hornet caliber. What makes the gun interesting is that it appears to have a hammer from a Three Screw Ruger. What I am curious about is the firing pin ~ is it a Ruger firing pin assembly from a Blackhawk, or is it a custom made assembly. It is not of the Christy type as used on Great Westerns of the day. The hammer seems to be a stock Ruger part, though it may be custom fabricated.

Any one know of the whereabouts of this revolver?
