Last January I purchased a Colt series 70 NIB to have a custom build done. My smith now works for Tactical Solutions and in the process I'm picking up a TS .22 slide conversion. Something I didn't consider...
I intend to have this custom pistol for the rest of my days... of which I hope to have many left. He's an important person to me and I think there will be more sentimental value to this weapon than anything.
However, if I were to use this slide conversion on the Colt for competitive target shooting... will the high round count diminish the quality of the work he's performed???
Will it tear up the rails over time?
What are your thoughts.
