Hi all I am a new guy on the site, so if there is a lot on this gun sorry to repeat, but I have a tt33 never issued model..I love the feel & simplicity of the gun, easy to strip & clean, not yet really expensive to shoot , just an like an ugly pet you have to love them.I also have a Margolin 22 as a plinker, very accurate also simple to use & strip..just some thoughts.. oldjeeper

I remember 10-12 years ago when Southern Ohio Guns (?) displayed a pic on their Home Page of a wooden crate full of Polish TT-33s. I thought that they were unattractive and opted to purchase a CZ52 instead.

I found the CZ52 to be heavy, awkward and not very comfortable.

At a later date I purchased one of the un-lovely Polish TT-33s ... took it out shooting ... and fell in love with the thing. Comfortable, concealable, accurate, rugged ...

Now I own a number of TT-33s and their Variants (11, if my mental math is correct) ... and I think that they are among the best-looking pistols that I own. :)

I think they are good guns and would do well as a CC piece if stoked with JHPs. It's a very flat gun that would carry well and the caliber is potent albeit the bullet weight is a little bit on the light side. They are fun to shoot and the flash and report usually attracts onlookers.

That mirrors my experience nearly exactly, except I ended up with a Yugoslavian M57 and sold my CZ52 to purchase a 2nd. The Tokarev is a delightful pistol.
It was even more delightful when ammunition was still $90/1200.

I have a cheapo Norinco 213 (in addition to a Yugo M57). Is there a cheapo alternative to the Marschall's? THere used to be rubber grips made, but I have been on an unsuccessful quest. An outfit called Marstar in Canada used to carry them. Anyone have any suggestions? I really like the 213...except the grips. Thanks

I actually like the 213's wrap around grips. I found them very comfortable for range use.
