Tuber?

I'm looking for some insight on the "tuber" from DPMS. I'm looking at getting one.

Does that extra long hand guard have any adverse effects on the operation of the rifle? Accuracy? ETC?

Yep! I'll bite. I've built a couple of AR's with DPMS uppers on Stag lowers. The Quality is good. The cool factor is great. Other than that there is no other reason to build one. I felt no compelling need for one when I put togeather my tactical carbine..........Good Luck, Essex

Are there any issues with the barrel over heating with the tuber?

Seems that the long handguard might slow cooling a bit.
