I'll be there! Sept or Oct should be a lot more pleasant than now thru August. With any luck I'll have been able to afford a new rifle by then, plus hopefully a scope or at least Mojo sights for my mil-surp rifles.

I have a new SAR-2 thanks to Kor's friend (Dan?) so that will make a showing too. Who knew getting around people with guns would make you buy more?!

Me and 2 other buddies are going to 3 points range this Saturday morning. Leaving here around 0700. Your welcome to join in.

I have 1000 rounds of 7.62X39 to shoot thru the SKS. Also gonna shoot the P3AT and the 10MM and the Kimber, and the Glock, and the BHP. Hmmm, even the 06 is gonna get some range time.

Oh, by the way, it reached 105 degrees on base today

Love to join in, but I have almost no ammo and not enough money to buy more for a while (I'm already commited to custom handloads for my 8mm and 6.5mm Mausers, but don't have that ammo just yet). My remaining .40 ammo would only last about 5 minutes, and banging away with the .22 just gets old after a while. Then there's the pesky detail of 3 Points being a solid hours drive from the house.

Of course, I'm blaming sumpnz for letting me shoot "Miss Kaysa" - up till then, I was perfectly happy without a Swedish Mauser in my collection. Now, I'm making payments on a beautimous 1901 Carl Gustaf '96...

Kor, glad to be of service. I still want a FAL, like the one you let me try out, but I can't really afford one yet (I have to budget for hunting stuff first). Plus my FIL has an unfired pre-ban AR-15 that I figured I'd make an offer on this Christmas if he's willing to sell. I figure that'll get me a good, discounted (assuming the horrid AWB expires on schedule) battle rifle. Then I'll get a 6.5 Grendle upper for when I want more punch. If he declines to sell then I think I'll go shopping for a FAL.
