I tumble once only... which media I use depends.

I use Walnut on really dirty stuff and all bottle neck rifle brass < .30 cal.

For straight walled pistol brass and 30 cal and up rifle brass, I just use what ever I'm set up for.

I use Corncob if I want to reallyshine them up.... which isn't to often.

Generally speaking walnut seems to get the job done more quickly.

I don't use polish on empty cases as from time to time a clump can get caught in a case taking up a portion of the empty space possibly causing a pressure issue.

Use liquid polish, a teaspoon or 2 and run the tumpler without cases for a few minutes to distribute the polish. You will not have clumps.

Corncob with nu-finish for average brass and walnut for tarnished brass and then again with corncob. Load em up and back through the corncob.
