Tumble residue

If you want clean brass, (I know some don't care) checkout the other few recent posts on Cleaning Brass. Oldman is the "Bomb" lol, great info, lots to gain info wise on this subject. Waiting to get my Tumbler and media that I ordered today, if you buy new brass as I always have, this seems to be a great solution. Buy once fired at about 1/5 to 1/10 the price, Tumble, and you've paid for the equipment in a heartbeat, besides always having as new brass each reload. OK, I'm excited about "new stuff" arriving on the Big Brown Truck!

I'm using the stainless steel media system from STM for the first time. I didn't do the math to figure out how many .45 ACP cases can be cleaned at one time. The Thumler rotary tumbler is rated at 15lb. A gallon of water weighs approximately 8lb. The kit includes 5lb of stainless media which only leaves 2lb for brass. :what: 180 .45 ACP cases weigh about 2lb so I dumped in 200 cases. I need to see if I can reduce the water to around 3/4 of a gallon (about 6lb) and add 400 cases of .45 ACP.
