I have 2 tumblers now, a Lyman 1200 and a Frankford Arsenal. Both do fine for small amounts of brass. I want to get a new tumbler with a larger capacity such as the Lyman 2500. Are their any other tumblers out there with a compairable capacity?

I use one of these from Harbor Freight.

Holds 18 pounds of brass and costs $150. If your looking for something smaller, they sell a smaller model that holds 5 pounds of brass for $55.00.

I have both units and they are 3 years old and still work great.

The bearings burned up in the 3 H/F tumblers I tried a number of years ago.
They did refund my money tho.
Maybe the upgraded their motors.

I'll stick to the Berry's tumbler, made here in the U.S. for approx the same price as the smaller H/F's.

Same as Cabella's model 400 and a GOOD tumbler. Listed as holding 1000 9mm, but NOT. WORKs well with 500-ish. Clear top, on-off switch, warranteed for life from Cabella's.

You might see if you can pick up a used Lyman 3200. I've got one and it's a monster. I've had 25 rds of 50 BMG in it, along with 338/378 etc. and it cleans them up all at the same time without issue. They don't make them anymore but I bet if you look around like on Ebay and such one might come up.

Buying a hardley used Lyman 2500 for $50.00 off another board. Case capacity looks to be pretty good for cleaning loage amounts of .40 and .223 brass. I find mixed reviews on it, some are pleased and some had bad motor issues. I guess time will tell.
