okay what are everyone who turkey hunts thoughts on using a 20 g for turkey hunting...need to get ready for the next season and i havent ever done it...i want to know if my 20g mossberg is okay or if i need to spit out some cash for different gun

The mainest thing, probably, would be if your shotgun is either full choke, or you can put a full-choke tube in it. Many people use an extra-full or "turkey-choke" tube.

Next would be patterning, to find what brand or style of load gives the most even spread of pellets.

Agree with Art. You need to pattern your gun with different chokes/shot size to determine your effective range. Nothing at all wrong with turkey hunting with a 20 ga; there's been many a turkey killed with a 20 ga. My only advice is to do your homework first and try it with different loads/chokes.
